Model: FS70-4K4
Doctors and specialists from Shandong Provincial Hospital offer guidance and expert advice to a host of subsidiary clinics and hospitals in the region. Quality telemedicine, however, heavily depends on the right display systems to enable confident remote diagnostics. Looking to further improve these telemedicine services, the group has called on Barco to provide the necessary state-of-the-art visualization solutions.
Mr. Richard Li, Director at Barco Healthcare China, comments: “As a result of this deal, a total of 204 hospitals in the Shandong province and elsewhere in western China will each be provided with two Eonis 22” clinical displays, representing a staggering total of 408 units.”
Networked quality assurance
The Eonis 22” display provides Shandong Provincial Hospital group with a reliable solution for hospital-wide viewing of clinical data and images. The cloud-based MediCal QAWeb software suite for DICOM calibration and Quality Assurance ensures that the smallest details of DICOM images are displayed exactly the same in every hospital.
Healthcare IT and PACS administrators can track image quality across the healthcare organization to assure consistent images. Specialists at multiple locations can rest assured they are focusing on the right details. The resulting improved efficiency and increased diagnostic accuracy offer a major boost to the quality of service of the Shandong Provincial Hospital Telemedicine Center.
42 installed, 162 to go
Project implementation is already well underway with displays installed in 42 hospitals so far. Mr. Xiju Zhang, Director of the Telemedicine Center at Shandong Provincial Hospital, is more than happy with the progress being made: “Barco is really living up to its reputation. Quick response times and tailored advice and consultancy are ensuring a clean project execution. Along with the innovative features of some of its solutions, such as the MediCal QAWeb software, their offering is proving more than worthy of our continued confidence.”
