DENVER, Colorado – September 26, 2013 – When AMX® first introduced its Modero X® Series family of touch panels, it set a benchmark for user interfaces by combining a radically different, functionally superior design and enhanced usability features, drawn from the popularity of mobile devices. In its ongoing commitment to enhance user experiences that truly define "life. unlimited.", AMX introduced the residential industry to its new line of Modero X Series G5 Touch Panels at CEDIA EXPO 2013.

 

The revolutionary, multi-award winning form factor wouldn't be altered in any way but the changes to the inside would be significant. The Modero X Series now features the ability to run Apps and browse the Web, while simultaneously utilizing traditional home automation capabilities. In addition to implementing a new G5 graphics engine, AMX also quadrupled the processing horsepower with a new Quad Core Processor - the fastest in the industry. This new platform runs today's applications quicker than ever and has enough processing power on tap to run more demanding applications to come in the future.

 

AMX also eased life for the integrator by adding the ability to deploy and update touch panel files from a network URL to greatly simplify touch panel file management behind the scenes. And the new Modero X includes a new Flush Wall Mount option for a sleeker, in-wall look. The best just got better.

 

AMX demonstrated the new Modero X Series G5 Touch Panels in Booth 1900 at CEDIA EXPO 2013, September 26 - 28 in Denver, Colorado. The new G5 Touch Panels are expected to begin shipping in the U.S. in December 2013 and outside the U.S. in March 2014.
