NetLinx® Programming incorporated into Microcontroller Course for Certificate III in Electronics and Communications Qualification by Swinburne University
28 May 2013 – In a first for the AV Industry, AMX NetLinx® Programming is to be incorporated into the Develop software solutions in microcontroller based systems (UEENEEH015B) course offered by Swinburne University of Technology. This unit of competency is part of the national training package for the Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (UEE30910) qualification.
Swinburne approached AMX Australia regarding incorporating this content into the curriculum in late 2011 and AMX University Manager for Australia & New Zealand spent three days with Swinburne instructors earlier this year providing training on the AMX Programmer I syllabus. The updated course is to be offered by Swinburne from August 2012.
"We are delighted to see AMX programming included into this Certificate III qualification and thank the team at Swinburne University for the opportunity to be involved" said Graham Barrett, Technology Director for AMX in Australia & New Zealand. "AMX University has been operating in Australia for 15 years and to have AMX training incorporated into the Certificate III qualification presents a great opportunity to expand the reach of our training, delivering more skilled people to the growing AV industry in this country. This course at Swinburne will provide AMX Dealers with a greater pool of skilled graduates to increase their installation & programming capability."
