Optoma W515 becomes the finishing touch for immersive triple-wide screen display at Connect Church
Challenge:
Connect Church, a Baptist church serving the community in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, was looking to expand their visual capabilities and create an impressive three-screen projection display prior to Easter.

Having already had experience with two Optoma X600 native XGA projectors, Connect Church was familiar with the striking image quality and reliability of Optoma projectors. Selecting the powerful and bright Optoma W515 WXGA projector for the center retractable screen, the house of worship quickly completed their captivating screen setup for a wide range of applications including live streams, scripture, motion background, lyrics, slide shows and more.
Results:
The installation took about a week-and-a-half to complete and was a big success. The new arrangement was well received by the congregation and the house of worship was thrilled to provide a versatile viewing experience that can display one cohesive scene or show three different pieces of content running at once.
The Challenge
Connect Church, a Baptist church serving the community in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, was looking to expand their visual capabilities and create an impressive three-screen projection display prior to Easter. To have this installation complete before the Easter celebration, Connect Church AV Technology Director Joshua Dillard had to quickly identify the best projector that would complement their previously installed projectors to accomplish the goal of creating an immersive, triple-wide screen display. A situation necessitating installation creativity, the site also contained a prominent baptismal pool in the back central area of the stage and limited distance to hang the center projector. The need for a versatile and reliable projector that could achieve a large, crisp image from a shorter distance was clear.

Before deciding on the Optoma W515 as the projector of choice, the house of worship was able to demo the unit for approximately one month andensure that it would meet their needs. Designed for professional installation environments, the projector features 6,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, a 1.8x zoom with vertical and horizontal lens shift and multiple connectivity options to meet any challenge. “The Optoma W515 offers exceptional brightness, rich colors and various connectivity options at a fraction of the cost of other ProAV projectors, making it the perfect choice for a wide range of installations in large venues,” said Brian Soto, Head of Product Management at Optoma.
